Our Story
Barts Bar Beverages was officially founded in 2018 in Midland, Texas, by Mason Askins—but the story began long before that. A version of this recipe was born in the West Texas oilfield more than 50 years ago and has been passed around by family and friends ever since. For years, Mason’s friend Bart was known for making the best Bloody Mary’s around. What started as a favorite among friends and family quickly became a tradition, with everyone asking Bart to bring bottles of his mix to parties and celebrations. With Bart’s blessing, Mason took that “secret recipe” and refined it into the Barts Bloody Mary Mix and Elixir we know and love today.
What Sets Barts Apart
Our signature seasoning blend is what truly sets Barts apart. The Bloody Mary Elixir is perfect for home bartenders who want to elevate and customize their cocktails, while our Premium Bloody Mary Mix offers the convenience and simplicity of a ready to pour option without sacrificing flavor. Barts Bar Beverages products are available online and in select retail locations. Beyond our flagship Bloody Mary offerings, we are actively expanding toward a full lineup of bold, flavorful mixes. In September 2025, Barts partnered with Midland favorite Typickle Pickles to release a limited run pickle flavored mix. The response was so strong, it earned a permanent spot in our lineup.
